Tottenham & Mourinho

No one could question Dele Alli's ability and he could be a top class player, but also inside him is an horrible man with a very poor attitude towards the game.

Unfortunately, his evil twin usually comes out on top.
Why is Deli Ali a horrible man?? What has he done to deserve that comment.........

Unfortunately for Mourinho he's following a similar pattern to other outstanding managers of years past. The likes of Sacchi, Capello, Lippi were all ground breaking but stopped winning as the game moved on. Mourinho was pure Box Office when he first arrived in England. His Chelsea team of 2004/2006 was one of the best the top division has seen.

I actually like Mourinho but he might need to become national team manager soon, as his days at the very top of club football looked over.

I agree, National job next I think (Portugal? Who actually play a very similar style currently under Santos)

Whilst the style of football has evolved since Jose first arrived in English football I still think that Spurs team are capable of getting results playing his way. Their style however seems very inflexible and should arguably be adapted against so-called "lesser" opposition. I also think his style is probably starting to frustrate some of his more creative players who probably (correctly?) think they could achieve similar results playing a more expansive style.

It's the same every year. If one of Kane or Son become unavailable Spuds don't have a plan b.
Exactly this for me too.

They were looking brilliant on the counter 2 months ago and playing some great football through Kane and Son I thought.

I must be one of the few that likes Mourinho and still rates him as a manager. Does not having won the League since 2015 make you a has been, even though he was competing against Pep and his mega money with a dreadful Man Utd inheritance for much of it?

No no
Delli Ali is a class player who obviously needs someone to believe in him
Mourinho is too busy polishing his ego somewhere to notice
Terrible man manager
Mourinhos arrogance is now coming back to haunt him. Yes, he has been a good manager in the past but if you are going to call yourself the 'Special one' you have to show that consistently. He failed at Man Utd and his flaws are now are there for all the world to see, and have been for a while. Not so special now Jose.

Why is Deli Ali a horrible man?? What has he done to deserve that comment.........
I think the bottle and boot throwing incident says it all. He is selfish and lazy at times and only performs when wants to. As a fan he must be so frustrating to watch, knowing that inside him is a talent young man who could be anything he wanted to be. Even Southgate stated he is 'individualistic and struggles to conform’.

I think their should persevere until their out of the cups atleast , the bloke wins trophies and spurs need that or it’s al l bit superficial having a big stadium etc . There’s no point in playing nice football and not winning silverware. Spurs need to develop a habit if winning silverware and worry if the style after they’ve banked a couple .

Agree with the general tenure of the OP except the comments on Ali. Before Mourinho arrived Deli Ali was floundering for form and in the first two months under Mourinho he had a resurgence scoring a few goals. Since then he has regressed back to anonymity.

Dont like him as a player

And as for Mourinho the clock is ticking. The squad, even without Kane, is capable of much more but the “special one” isn’t getting them to perform.
I’ve got to say I thought alli had lost his form before Jose got there

Dele not really been the same for couple of seasons, added to the fact when he was beaten up at his home, held at knife point whilst his home was robbed. Probably doesn't help his mental state.
