Tory voters don’t deserve to be resuscitated

To summarise the view of the RWNJ

Wants to stop the RNLI rescuing refugees in the Channel

OK deporting said refugees to a country with an abhorrent human rights record

Jolly cross about an ill-advised bit of hyperbole from some unknown woman in a TV audience.

That cover it?
Pretty much.

Although this nurse's comments are in bad taste and she'll more than then likely be brought in front of her boss at work for been so public about it, I don't think she'd actually follow through with her comment if she was in a situation where someone would require medical attention but she wouldn't give it due to her hatred of all things Tory.

Storm in a teacup.

I mean the outrage should be the lack of funding if the NHS. Ask yourself why they hate Tory voters? If you work in a profession like nursing you'll see people dying from lack of funds. I work in the justice system and the lack of funds there the last few years will have caused numerous deaths and injustices. If you vote for services to be starved of money what do you expect.

Moral of the story is this, if a horrible person says something horrible just call it for what it is.

Most people have said it’s a stupid thing to say.
Some people have tried to understand how somebody gets so angry to say something so horrible.

Some have used it as an opportunity to try and stoke division.
Some have even tried to compare Tory deliberate underfunding of the NHS so they can fail it and the public will grow to accept that change is necessary, so they can sell it to us piece by piece, thus allowing their chums and backers to make an absolute fortune, with….. benefits claimants.

Once again, impossible to have any sort of reasoned debate on this board when politics are involved. So predictable that a thread which started about a crass ill advised comment from a left leaning individual turns into a tory bashing fest. I am convinced more than ever that the vitriol against Gibson on here this week has nothing to do with football related stuff but pure incredulity over the fact the Boro boy dares to vote blue. For the record, if there was an election tomorrow I would be placing a nervous tick in the red box but I certainly wouldn't be spitting in the direction of my tory voting neighbour.

I think you’ll find it’s just impossible to have any sort of reasoned debate with a Tory.

Well to say that you can’t have any sort of reassigned debate with a Tory is nonsense - I’m sure you have done many times in the past and no doubt will in the future.

Chill out, I’m winding you up.
There are a few decent Tories out there. Or at least there were.
Most of them have left this current form of the party by choice or have been kicked out. They are now independent or politically homeless.

This iteration of the Tory party is more like UKIP or the BNP so having a reasoned debate with someone who would vote tory tomorrow is akin to having a debate with a UKIPPER a few years back.

That is why it is so difficult.

You haven't "debated" though, have you? You posted a provocative sound bite out of context and then sniped about "lefties". That's not debate. Most agreed that it was not a helpful thing to say, indeed the lady herself withdrew the comment during the TV program when challenged, but you didn't mention that. Your first port of call is to play the victim because someone "bit" on your provocative OP.

I see no attempt to "debate" anything. But then...

Hey ho hum.

It’s not tolling I struggle with this board due to the bias and flawed thinking that comes about when it’s anything political. Any right minded person would condemn this woman (she should los her job). I knew that you guys are so blinded by your political beliefs that you wouldn’t do that, instead we get a lot of whataboutery and fake comparisons.
Address the post is what this lady is saying correct in your mind? That’s all that needs to be debated.
You struggle with bias and flawed thinking alright.

I’m against the current Tory ideology but to say what she said is totally wrong…

that said, as has been mentioned, it’s a bit thin skinned to get so worked up about it…

it’s not like she’s saying “let the bodies pile high…” is it?
