Fury as nurse says Tories 'don't deserve to be resuscitated by NHS'
Former NHS nurse Miranda Hughes made the incendiary comments during a live TV debate on Channel 5 last night called 'Britain on the Brink'.
Stupid - I think was the general consensus. Is she wrong?
I find it odd that the far right, the bastions of free speech and libertarianism are so thin skinned.
Speaking as a lefty snowflake, I couldn't give a flying f*** if someone wished me dead due to how I voted.
I’m alot more centrist than most on this board and in the past have flittered between the two main parties but completely agree with you. It does make me laugh.I find it odd that the far right, the bastions of free speech and libertarianism are so thin skinned.

For me we see this type of thing time and time again from the liberal left!I find it odd that the far right, the bastions of free speech and libertarianism are so thin skinned.

I should really have written 'bastions of free speech' as I was being a tad facetious. It was the left that was always the bastion of free speech, and still is in my opinion. The far right have never been free speech advocates, but there are some on the right, not usually far right imo, jumping on the free speech bandwagon as part of the culture wars, this often involves dollops of hypocrisy of course.

Ah you already did my postTories don’t deserve to be resuscitated = outrage.
Who do we NOT save from covid/let the bodies pile high = no problem.
TBF both Far L&R crack down on 'free' speech. It's only liberal free thinkers that can work with others & allow a conversation plus debate..It was the left that was always the bastion of free speech, and still is in my opinion. Regardless, what she said is a stupid thing to say and does her argument no favours, she of course should have the right to say it but if she genuinely believes that then I think she’s a deplorable person and nursing maybe wasn’t the profession for her, even many of us can agree the tories are a nasty, shambolic party.
