Too many changes in one go at a crucial time

To be fair to Glover, even though it wasn't great keeping the lad had all the time in the world to take a touch and absolutely lash it. We were absolutely wide open in that moment, Rusyn had no-one anywhere near him!
 
Yeah it was glover's fault, not the Mackem finding himself in acres of space because the team set up had gone out of the window, yeah it was Glover's fault the Mackems managed to get a shot of unchallenged and which with any goalie errors can happen once you are in that situation.
 
Hindsight but agree, that said if the keeper saves it (as he should have) would they have improved as much. Silvera nowhere to be seen helping out at the back. Interesting point but the ref stopped play to allow the Engel sub to happen, we weren’t ready so carried on then Engel nowhere to be seen when their goal goes in.

Goalkeepers have to save those. They do have to face shots once in a while. Our shape wasn't great, but you have a keeper for a reason.
 
Yes but once you allow a striker that space and sight of goal it creates a little uncertainty initially which way to go, and I agree he should have saved it once he got done to it, but the situation arose because the formation was all over the place you had several players running to one player with the ball.
 
Guess Enkel was struggling as he eventually got back but then got subbed more or less straight away either way Glover should save it.

Biggest issue with the subs was that they didn't bring the same energy, Silvera was OK but the other 2 were not up to speed
