I too shall be enjoying a rum based drink, I have a bottle of Kraken on the go and will probably add a nice drop of ginger ale to it and a squeeze of lime.

I'm not sure I've tried Kraken in a Dark 'n' Stormy. I did try quite a few and ended up back at the Goslings as my preferred rum for it.

I haven't tried Goslings at all so can't compare. I find Kraken works fine with ginger ale or cola and I can sip it over ice. I have some Dead Man's Fingers as well which is also damnably fine. Incidentally the Aldi faux-Kraken Seadog is actually pretty good.
Kraken works very well in a warming hot chocolate as a night cap.

Kraken is great imo especially for the price. The Captain Morgans Black Spiced is worth trying if you see it. I've only ever seen it abroad or in duty free, mind.
I can't get away with any of the Dead Man's Fingers for some reason. It just must have some spices in it that don't appeal to my palate. Even the pineapple one and I think I have four different pineapple rums at home at the moment because rum and pineapple go together so well.
The aldi rums are superb value for money. I'm not keen on the Raspberry mojito one, but I'm sure I'll find a suitable partner drink for it at some point. The Infusionist Small Batch Hazelnut and Caramel Rum Liqueur is outstanding for the money and the Coconut-Vanilla one is great too. I've just got the fig, honey and cinnamon one still to try.

Wilf - Great little beer and very nice on the palate but they have quite a kick to them. Enjoy fella.

This again, it's the only half-decent stuff I can get in our Tesco, lucky for me it's actually way more than half-decent

Ain't no spiced rum as good as a Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva though, much as I adore Rumbullion.
Not tried that vocation offering, good stuff?
I have a couple of brewdogs Barnard castle eye test in the fridge and some ice in the making for some rye bourbon afterwards.

Anyway I'm glad you've all reminded me that the cupboard is bare. Off out now to do some "essential" shopping - tonight it will be Leffe Blonde and Weston's vintage cider. And before anyone asks that is not a recipe for snakebite.

I've got a Perfect Draft machine Low_Key but I've been looking at the Sub also.i've got a boring Heineken in the Sub ready to roll tonight. the wife has prosecco rose in and also a bit of Campo Rioja to have with sunday dinner bee
They've got a couple of beers I really enjoy - La Chouffe and Affligem.
