My guess. I think he might pack a midfield 3,. The main support for Crooks/Coburn will come from Bangura and Jones bombing forward.

Whilst it is undeniable the LL puts in a shift, his decision making is shocking.I'd definitely start Latte Lath, try to use his pace and hope he can actually get a proper shot off for once.
Jones and Crooks are obviously starting.
That left hand side is the big question, whoever plays there is out of position.
This but with Latte Lath up top.My guess. I think he might pack a midfield 3,. The main support for Crooks/Coburn will come from Bangura and Jones bombing forward.

For me, Coburn is the more influencial team player. More often than not he will win a header or shield the ball and hold the ball up around the half way line but if we aren't supporting him he looks isolated up there, he's often holding the ball up for absolutely nobody and then Lath is more of a runner, headless chicken at times, but his energy and pace could trouble a defence more than Coburns. If we could just combine the two i'd be happy. Joshuel Clatte Burn.Seems like a lot of support for Lath to come in for Coburn. I'm quite surprised at that. I though Coburn did well against Villa. Held the ball up and caused them issues.

The way I see the game going is we are going to get men behind the ball and a very rigid shape like we did against Villa. If we win the ball and manage to move it forward quickly, the likelihood is, whichever striker is playing, that they are going to be up against 3 Chelsea defenders on their own until support arrives. We won't have the luxury of having Jones/Greenwood/Rogers et al to get immediately around the striker to support them. For me, Coburn is the more influencial team player. I don't think it ever was a front 3, certainly out of possession. Greenwood and Rogers created a box behind Coburn, effectively cutting off the passing lines through the middle of us. like a 5221.I think we might put three in the middle, effectively 5 when we have the ball (Bangura/Jones at WB).
If we stick with the front 3 approach from Sat, I'd be tempted to lead the line with Josh and have ELL play just off him. If, and it's a big if, he could find room in the half space, his pace from deep might be difficult to pick up. I'd prefer him to have 5-10 yards unopposed rather than a direct foot race on their last line of defence.
Might also disrupt their backline if they pull someone forward to mark him.
