Well vote with your wallet and if enough people did so and told the reason then maybe things would change. although I'm sure whinging will have more impact.

Well if all those who are that upset didn't go for a season (one season's pain for a long-term gain) and let the club know why then maybe, just maybe, it might make a difference. If enough people did it and the club was well down on season ticket sales it would have to act.
An organised season ticket boycott might send the message to drop the prices.
But, I suspect the problem is that the club knows that the fans will just complain on social media about it and not take any direct action
