One will be lifting the world cup in December!
Good luck, but I wouldn't hold my breath.....
Really? They did win the Champions League, and before that he got PSG to the Champions League final, and before that won the French quadruple and before that did brilliant with Dortmund.Feel he's been lucky to last this long tbh. They've been poor for a while now.
Especially as that team spent more in the window than anybody else. It's always strange when a manager gets sacked just a few days after the transfer window closes.
Would be effin mad not to take it. If he's an ambitious coach who is confident in his style of play and ability to manage then he takes it. If he's not then he will never be cut out for that kind of job. He's been at Brighton a while and has always had them playing great stuff. Why are people saying Potter would be mad to take it? If he has any ambition of managing a club capable of winning the league then there aren't going to be many opportunities for him. City and Liverpool won't be changing their manager any time soon and if they do it will be Klopp because their recruitment hasn't managed to replace like for like with their squad and they'll fall away so that won't be any better a position to take over. Utd will always go for a big name or he might have been considered when they appointed Ten Hag. Spurs haven't won a trophy in decades so not guaranteed a chance at trophies. City is the only one where he'd fit but would they see him as a big enough name? Guardiola might be there for 1 more season or 10. They won't be sacking him.
The level of manager Potter is won't get many opportunities at that level so they have to take them if they come. He's achieved all he ever will with Brighton (outside of a cup run) so might be best to make the jump now before they go through a bad patch and he is no longer considered top level material.
Good luck to him if he does take it.
Has been like this a few times when they've had a poor result. Similar to Bournmouth and Parker, the owners probably feel that the manager should be being positive and lifting his players up (publicly at least). His comments after the match were very negative, including about himself.
Maybe that's why he's been selling all Brighton's best players to Chelsea?Apparently they've asked Brighton for permission to speak to Graham Potter.
