Thomas Tuchel sacked by Chelsea.

Tuchel was the only thing I liked about Chelsea, terrible club with even worse fans. I hope Potter doesn’t go there, it would end up being a blot in his career.

Was on the cards wasn’t it ?
Potter could be the next England manager in 6 months so depends on his priorities are career wise . Hope he takes it Itl be novelty for an England manager in a top job and actually win a league title eventually.

Feel he's been lucky to last this long tbh. They've been poor for a while now.
Really? They did win the Champions League, and before that he got PSG to the Champions League final, and before that won the French quadruple and before that did brilliant with Dortmund.

If Chelsea aren’t happy, it’s not Tuchel’s fault. Don’t know where they think they can magic another Conte out of because there’s not many of them, and a guy getting his big club upgrade like Graham Potter will be a disaster there.

It's always strange when a manager gets sacked just a few days after the transfer window closes.

Why are people saying Potter would be mad to take it? If he has any ambition of managing a club capable of winning the league then there aren't going to be many opportunities for him. City and Liverpool won't be changing their manager any time soon and if they do it will be Klopp because their recruitment hasn't managed to replace like for like with their squad and they'll fall away so that won't be any better a position to take over. Utd will always go for a big name or he might have been considered when they appointed Ten Hag. Spurs haven't won a trophy in decades so not guaranteed a chance at trophies. City is the only one where he'd fit but would they see him as a big enough name? Guardiola might be there for 1 more season or 10. They won't be sacking him.

The level of manager Potter is won't get many opportunities at that level so they have to take them if they come. He's achieved all he ever will with Brighton (outside of a cup run) so might be best to make the jump now before they go through a bad patch and he is no longer considered top level material.

Would be effin mad not to take it. If he's an ambitious coach who is confident in his style of play and ability to manage then he takes it. If he's not then he will never be cut out for that kind of job. He's been at Brighton a while and has always had them playing great stuff.

Do I think Chelsea should go for him? No. It would be weird as I never want them to do well but I'd love to see an English manager prove themselves at the top. He's a modern manager and student of the game by all accounts so it would be great if we saw a rise in the popularity of English managers again.

I love Southgate for what he's done for the England team and for being our captain, I think he's a very good leader of men and is suited to the England job but I still don't think he's a top level club manager.

His comments after the match were very negative, including about himself.
Has been like this a few times when they've had a poor result. Similar to Bournmouth and Parker, the owners probably feel that the manager should be being positive and lifting his players up (publicly at least).

Sacked coz the owners' Fantasy League teams have got Reece James in and he keeps returning nowt on a weekly basis :)
