Thomas Tuchel sacked by Chelsea.

Every time brighten replace their manager it puts their league position at risk so £17m isn’t great but it helps get wilder 🫣

For me the Potter fever is so short term. They’ve had an absolutely brilliant start to this season, were good last season and positive the season before.

But come on, he’s not a manager you’d sack a world class manager for. For a guy who’s done some good tactical stuff, finished in mid table every year and got raved about on MOTD for the last three weeks?

Steve McClaren achieved way, way more with us. A cup win, some cup semi finals, Europe twice and a European final. If Chelsea fired Mourinho and took him then I’d think they were mental, and I think Chelsea are even more mental for doing this.
 
I feel Potter would be a bad move all around. Could he go from Championship to fulfilling Chelsea’s ambitions of challenging for the Champions League/Prem in just a few years? If he takes it and fails it might set him back a few years and harm his reputation. I know Brighton are currently flying but I thought his next move should be a mid level bigger Prem club, maybe a West Ham/Leeds/Everton type

Pochettino is a good shout but honestly can't see him achieving more than Tuchel has.

Simone will leave Atleti at some point (could be his last season?) Sure he'd have more sense than go there though?

Chelsea’s new owner is probably the only one daft enough to match or better Simones Atletico 500k a week wages.
 
They’ve just bought one of the most ill disciplined players in world football as Tuchel was one of a few who can really get a tune out of him. None of the managers linked would tolerate his behaviour.

Yeah remember reading this when he first came to England.

Superb work like. Similar to Hogdson though?

Don’t want to sound like I’m too negative on Graham Potter, he’s obviously a brilliant manager. Just think he’ll be eaten alive at Chelsea with the squad and expectations they have, and that would be a shame.
