This week, I 'ave been mostly listening to

I've heard of them but never actually heard any of their songs I don't think 🤔 I'm going to check them out.

Wishbone Ash are noted for their extensive use of harmony twin lead guitars, which had been attracting electric blues bands since Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page had played together in the Yardbirds in 1966.[1][2][3] Their contributions helped Andy Powell and Ted Turner to be voted "Two of the Ten Most Important Guitarists in Rock History" (Traffic magazine 1989), and to appear in the "Top 20 Guitarists of All Time" (Rolling Stone). Melody Maker (1972) described Powell and Turner as "the most interesting two guitar team since the days when Beck and Page graced The Yardbirds". Several notable bands have cited Wishbone Ash as an influence, including Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Dream Theater, Overkill and Opeth.[4][5]

Steve Lamaq has just played the full Steel Pulse album Handsworth Revolution - that brought a smile to my face

Had some time to dig through some stuff I haven't listened to in years

Robert Plant - Win my train fare home (if I get lucky) from "Dreamland"
The Notting Hillbillies - Feel Like Going Home
Afro Celt Sound System - Lovers of Light
Idris Muhammad - Turn This Mutha Out

Oh and a bit of INXS
A proper funky bassline there

Had a listen to it this morning mate, enjoyed it, definitely something I can see ending up on my iPod 👍

Good album that.
Yesterday's walk was lovely, being closed as I approached home by "Unleashed in the East", a great live album.
Today is all about Sade. A band I always go back to.

Unleashed in the East is superb. Brilliant versions of some Priest songs and one of my favourite ever cover the versions - The Green Manalishi (y)

Naked Giants. From Seattle. If you like jangly, raw, garage sounding head nodding tunes they will be right up your street. They've also done songs with Car Seat Headrest. They love a guitar solo too. Plus the bass player is one of the maddest I've ever seen and heard.

Megadeth cos I’m reading the Holy Wars book.

other than that, going through a glassjaw phase, oh and Van Halen obviously 👍🏻

Love a bit of Megadeth mate, had no idea until a couple of weeks ago that Dave Mustaine is an accomplished MMA practitioner too 😮

Speaking of MMA and music, pre lockdown had the pleasure of seeing Kris Barras Band at the Arc. A bit Rory Gallagher-esque. Well worth investigating, a great live show (a bit irrelevant in current circs) and a very nice guy, took time after the gig to meet anyone who wanted a word and signed anything and everything. Top man.
