This fad of girls getting their lips filled

There is going to be some hideous middle aged scrubbers in a few years time.

Some of them look good but it's usually the ones that have "needed it" and gone from no lips to some lips but that is because they don't look like they've got big, fake lips. The ones that don't need it doing look over-inflated.

We were having this discussion with the girls at work the other day. Lips, botox, tattoos, permanent makeup, implants, veneers, fake tan, gastric bands etc all getting done regularly by naturally attractive women. Just seems like they are constantly chasing perfection but they are unwittingly moving further away rather than towards it. Worse still is the fact they are spending a fortune doing it.

I hope all this nonsense has stopped by the time my children get older.

Sadly i fear it will not ,they are so influenced by media hype
 
While we are on the subject - what about when some poor female is the victim of a crime / accident / illness and meets an untimely and sad demise. And papers and news channels share the sad news combined with a filtered / cartoonified photo of the victim. What an awful way to be remembered.
 
As ‘The handsome one’ I am probably one of the few on here who could comment with authority but I am a gentleman and would never comment on another person’s appearance.
 
I'm assuming most of us on here aren't the target audience for girls that do this to themselves.

I'm guessing it's more these sort of lads that it's supposed to (and presumably does 🤷🏼‍♂️) appeal to. Each to their own and all that .

I think it's quite sad really as it obviously comes from wanting to please a certain type of person, trying to fit in and thinking that's what you're supposed to look like.

I've never seen anyone who looks good by having it done.

My point is that the ones that look good aren't noticeable. You will see people all the time that look good and you don't know whether they've had it done or that is their natural look. If you can tell they've had it done and you think it looks bad then you're only taking your sample from the ones that look bad.

It's not difficult to see anyone who has had work done, it just doesn't look natural. If you like it, fair play, but I think it looks awful.
 
Unbelievably stupid looking. Luckily in Oz the general look is still natural apart from the leg tattoo thing. The middle eastern origin girls seem to go for the cosmetic stuff here big time but not many others.
The UK & US seem to want the most ridiculous looks - male and female. You could always spot an English girl a mile off in Sydney from the big black caterpillars above her eyes. What a stupid look that is and fairly unique to UK as far as I can see.
 
My partner has shown interest in it, asked me how I would feel if she got it done? I said that it's her body and she can do what she wants, I respect that. Equally she has to understand that I don't find it physically attractive, whereas I do find her physically attractive now. If she wants to mess with that then that's fine but I might find it weird or unpleasant.

I told her most men think it looks ridiculous and think it is something best reserved for women in porn who want to display a certain aesthetic or look. Bimbofication is the extremist version of the beauty standard and is a fetish.

Can't see her getting it done. She already makes plenty of $ out of her looks, not sure she'd get the same gigs if she changed it. Natural beauty is important here.
