Spar in Redcar used to have a deli at the back selling a mozzarella, pepperoni and jalepemo sandwich, was lovely.
 
Can you still get Upex pies or did the exotic animal cruelty act close them down, and savoury duck from the bridge cafe? God knows what was in them but “ lite bite” they weren’t

Depends from which era you mean, the upex pie brand was revived a few years back. They used to sell them from a heated van on way to boro game inc Parmo pie, believe it’s been for sale for a while tho
 
The first thing that sprang to mind was Carling Premier but I understand you can buy that from some places again. Carling is putrid but Carling Premier is delicious!

I haven't been in a phone box for many years but when I first moved to London and went in one to phone my mum I used to idly read the cards stuck in there. It seemed like an exotic exciting world.
 
Rawlplug hole filler.

Was basically white asbestos fibres in a small tin. Took a bit out and put it palm of hand and then either added a little water or usually just some spit, rolled it up and then plugged hole ready to accept a screw before it set like concrete.

Was great stuff, can't imagine why they banned it! ☠️
