There’s been a distinct lack of Carrick/Gibson out threads these last couple of weeks.

Just how far are you willing to watch us drop without calling out the owner because he did well 20 years ago?

I don’t get why it’s not possible to appreciate what happened in the past, but realise Gibson has made wrong decision after wrong decision for most of the last decade

I don't know. I'm not one of these spoilt entitled supporters who thinks the club I support owes me a given level of success. I just support them through thick and thin.

Was bringing Michael Carrick in one of these bad decisions?

What? Expressing an opinion?
No. Backing up posters calling other posters insulting names if they dare to have an opinion that differs to yours. I.e. doing the exact opposite of what you're there for.

I mean, if you don't like the board, you're free not to visit.
That's the spirit... Great attitude for admin to have.

I find Johnny Vincent's Peddly quite amusing with the sad faces he pitches willy nilly, as long as he's prepared for a few in return it's all good humour.

God I wish I hadn't bothered to read this thread. Been busy the last few days so just came on before tonight's game to see what was going on. As usual, a well intentioned thread turns to bickering (yes, I know I bickered with VAN at the weekend 🫣 ) but there is a constant need for one-upmanship on here lately. We are all Boro fans at the end of the day and want the same thing. And, we are all entitled to our opinions.

I don't think any genuine Boro fan wanted Carrick to be sacked, although many rightly had concerns. I'm still concerned about our defence and the quality of our summer signings. Carrick threw too many in at the deep end at the start of the season, probably through lack of choice, but I'm glad he's learned from these mistakes and will hopefully now try to bed them in gradually.

As for Gibson, he has been the lifeblood of MFC for all of my adult life, but I'd really love to hear from him. Not so that I can then criticise him, but to hear what is his vision these days? Where does he see us over the next 2, 5, 10 years, and beyond? People will keep slinging mud on here, other forums and in the pubs until he does speak.

We've picked up a few points in the last week or so and it wouldn't it just be great to get another win tonight! UTB!

Correct. I have an excellent attitude for admin.

After spending huge amounts of time and money following the club, is it entitled or spoiled to be questioning just why we have gone through so many managers in recent years where everyone was a failure? Or why we needed such a high turnover of players every season. Or mainly why we went from the premier league to almost dropping into league one within a few years?

It is possible to support the club, but also question the decisions the owner is making, and getting wrong almost every year

I'd say his last 2 managerial appointments have been good, Wilder looked a good appointment and we played a blend of football better than we'd seen for years then after the Burnley fiasco he lost the players confidence due to his public demeanour towards them, hardly Gibsons' fault and he rightly sacked him.Carrick lifted us to another level with a style that he and the players believe in and after a tricky start this season his faith and patience with the new signings looks to have turned the tide into what could be another good season possibly.

Sure, knock yourself out. Question away. But the funds you put into the club are a mere trifle compared to the funds put in by the Chairman, so I wouldn't expect any answers from him if I were you.

You need to speak with Rob. He's got an in-depth Q&A lined up with the Chairman. Rob's already gathered a list of 'great questions'.

Who has been calling for Carrick out like? I haven’t seen anyone at all.
Quite a few questioning Scott, me included, but everyone seems behind Carrick before last week as far as I noticed.

I don’t just mean me personally, but fans in general. Without the fans the club doesn’t exist so yes they absolutely are correct to be questioning why things have gone so wrong.

But if no one can have an opinion unless they personally match the money Gibson puts in, then we might as well close the forum now

You can of course have an opinion, just don't expect it to carry much weight with the people that run the club. Why is this so hard to understand?

The replies to the OP in the first thread are generally jokey/lighthearted.

There is one reply on the second thread.

Come on it's hardly evidence of posters wanting Carrick to be sacked.

And by the way, you won't find any evidence of me calling for Carrick's head.

I wonder what the point of the MSF is then where FMTTM is represented by Rob?

It seems pointless Rob attending if he shares the same opinion as you on club/supporter engagement.
