God I wish I hadn't bothered to read this thread. Been busy the last few days so just came on before tonight's game to see what was going on. As usual, a well intentioned thread turns to bickering (yes, I know I bickered with VAN at the weekend
) but there is a constant need for one-upmanship on here lately. We are all Boro fans at the end of the day and want the same thing. And, we are all entitled to our opinions.
I don't think any genuine Boro fan wanted Carrick to be sacked, although many rightly had concerns. I'm still concerned about our defence and the quality of our summer signings. Carrick threw too many in at the deep end at the start of the season, probably through lack of choice, but I'm glad he's learned from these mistakes and will hopefully now try to bed them in gradually.
As for Gibson, he has been the lifeblood of MFC for all of my adult life, but I'd really love to hear from him. Not so that I can then criticise him, but to hear what is his vision these days? Where does he see us over the next 2, 5, 10 years, and beyond? People will keep slinging mud on here, other forums and in the pubs until he does speak.
We've picked up a few points in the last week or so and it wouldn't it just be great to get another win tonight! UTB!
