The world cup

I'm going to miss the constant supply of football.

It's ***ed off my partner, but I've loved having 4 matches every day to watch.

Some really good ones today especially.

And at the weekend just gone filling in some of the gaps with FA cup matches…

It's been a bit of a mixed bag hasn't it? Some very flat matches with quite a few unexpected belters thrown in. Today has had it in a nutshell.

I might remember this as a tournament of fading stars though, which isn't a good thing.

On the other hand, I'm enjoying the Renaissance of great headed goals.

It's been pretty lackluster so far. I'm hoping for a bit more quality and excitement come to from the knockout games. The total lack of atmosphere at most of the games and empty stadiums don't help at all.

You obviously didn’t see Serbia v Camaroon and S Korea v Ghana today

The games today were pretty good but apart from England's first game I've struggled to enjoy much.

Have to say 4 games a day is too much for me and get bored also by the third game. Pick and choose the matches now and vary where I watch them (local pubs and cafes) before a permenant dent in the sofa cant be hammered out. Pleased the morning games have now finished.

First tournament in years where I haven't watched every game up to this point. Unfortunately used all my leave in the Summer.

Moving house tomorrow so probably won't see too much over the next few days but hoping/praying the new place has a TV aerial as it's taking Virgin two weeks to install our kit.
