The weekend beer and musis thread...

K cider now that is a 90s throwback, had many a can of that😁

Yep loved Echobelly and as with you saw them a few times back in the day.

We made a couple of videos with them. This appears to have been recorded off the telly onto a crap VHS, but it still captures them pretty well. It was their first. We also made their second "I can't imagine a world without me" ... which I have the actual difibeta master of sitting infront of me, as I was planning on selling it.

Anyway, Insomniac (obviously not about @sadgit ).

Two Lissie albums played back to back.

No alcohol today. As it has been a week with a fair amount of booze. Partly to celebrate a significant birthday for the missus.

Just a bit of orange squash and gaseosa (like diet lemonade).

UPDATED: musis?

I know when I listen to this I’m into the last 5 minutes of my run as it the last song on my playlist.

Great band from that era (that we won’t call Britpop as it upsets too many people).

Ha. They were definitely surfing the Britpop wave. .... hence the Union flag ... but they were subverting to an extent, with Sonia being Asian. One thing Britpop seemed to do was to spawn a lot of female fronted bands. Elastica, Lush, Sleeper, Skunk Anansie etc. It was the side I much preferred over the Laddish Oasis and Blur.

Sat in Atlanta airport waiting for a delayed flight home to Chicago so just cherry coke for me tonight. Luckily there is no one sat opposite me right now as you can see.

Been listening to this new Decemberists track on repeat all day.

Ooooo I didn’t know that there is new Decemberists music out. Thank you for the heads up, Mike.

I’ve only had one drink this weekend too…went out to the Beacon in Redcar (a first for me) to meet up with family and after a pint of Camden Ale went onto water.

I’ve been listening to the new Kacey Musgraves album and a Guess Who live album that I’ve never seen in the UK before which I got at the Town Hall record fair yesterday.
