The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon all, and what a lovely afternoon it is too. Sun is shining, the nights are getting longer and we can have a whole stress free weekend now the footy season is over. I'm hoping (though not hopeful) that the Mackems get battered tonight of course but that's more of a cherry on top thing rather than defining my mood for the weekend.

I'm going to potter about in the garden now I've finished work for the day though unlikely to indulge in much, if any, drinking this evening as I'm working tomorrow. That said it's supposed to be a lovely weekend so I might have a gentle beer or two tomorrow evening.

Afternoon all. Lovely day out in the garden again today, after morning coffee at Fletchers Farm. Off to see the wonderful Steven Wilson later in the week so here’s a deep cut he’s doing as an encore from the splendid To The Bone album.

WeeGord is spot on, longer evenings in the garden under a heater if necessary. I will be sharing a bottle of Aussie Shiraz or two with friends tonight at their house, I believe a BBQ will be being unveiled with the host providing all the campylobacter we can eat.

I may sneak a look or two at the Sky Blues match, hopefully they rack up a cricket score. I have just asked Alexa to recommend a song from my playlist and she has thrown this across the Spring airwaves to share with you all. There's no way I'm watching the footie, had enough for one season so going to watch a movie instead washed down with a trusty Leffe Blonde. In the tiniest Leffe glass ever which I'm fairly certain I 'liberated' from a Spoons sometime in the past.



Now the forum might be aware that I'm not the biggest Sam Fender fan but I do like his new tune. The video features the young lad from the Netflix drama Adolescence.

Good evening, everyone. I've been in the workshop most of the day and have been busy making a small coffee/nibbles table for the garden. Deb broke my concentration when she came in from work and poured me a glass of cider - it didn't touch the sides. We've just come in after a few Pastis 51 and a few slightly burnt sausages on the BBQ. We are going back out once the washing up is done - She's taking her time and are going to sit in the garden tonight.

This song popped up on my YouTube and I enjoyed it. I just hope Gibbo doesn't think it's time for Carrick to go. I honestly feel he can get us to the promise land.
