The weekend beer and music thread

If you heard the Herb Albert version in The Maddison and you hadn't pulled, you were going home on your own. Winky
I never once pulled in the Madison. I did once get caught up and intertwined in a triangle of kissing women. That was a thing.
I stopped going there once I hit seventeen. Moved to London for work.
But the Maddison triangle remains in my memory a frilly cuffed Manilow amazement

All the blokes stood on the edge of the dance floor, looking to pick up any leftovers ( that was me on many occasions winky)
I was going to put that but it sounded desperate, but we all did it.

She'll do.

I took a girl home once and woke up with her on her settee and I thought I was with her brother. I remember saying "Thank ferk" when I saw her threepenny bits. She was the double of her brother and what an ugly man he was.

Must admit it was very hit and miss - but the hits were memorable.
On the flip side, the beans and toast offering of a morning were not so memorable.

Me and my mate got dancing with a couple of Swedish girls in there, over here visiting pen pals. The one I was with told me she was from Gothenburg, I asked her if she knew Batman and that was the end of that!
The only other clear memory I have is David Hodgson and Mark Proctor jumping the queue to get in on a regular basis!

So, couple of nice walks this week and a catch up with an old mate I haven’t seen for a few years yesterday (Spoons Norton) Enjoyed the match Monday, now that I’ve got over the result. Here in the uk for another month so lots of catching up with everyone and domestic jobs to sort out, that’s ok.

Music, heard this tonight, a band lots of people can’t stand doing a cover of a band lots of other people don’t like. Personally I don’t mind either and have enjoyed seeing both in the past.

I read that and thought the same thing - 'I wonder if she knew Batman.'

It's certainly an age thing.
