The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon all, hope we're all good and enjoying the weekend off from footy. Gives us a chance to calm down and not make any knee jerk reactions after the mackem game while giving the new players an extra couple of days to bed in.

Tough game coming up against Sheff Utd but moreover than any other game this season I hope we turn up and batter them and Chris Wilder.
In Whitby for the weekend with some friends and enjoying a beer or three. Lovely place as ever and plenty watering holes to enjoy a gentle pint in.

To kick us off this week is very aptly Ozzy Osbourne with Crazy Train. For those into their rock, what a huge bill it is lined up for the final gig this summer at Villa.

Hi @WeeGord, I hope you and your companions have a lovely weekend at Whitby. Remember to wrap up whilst walking the cobbles, it can be a cold place.

I hope all the other posters are well and are now over the defeat from Sunderland. They got lucky, I'm telling you. We will beat them at Wembley in the play off final.

I've just returned from Scawton with a van full of wood to be able to finish my latest project. It is coming along nicely but I was a couple of planks short. Funny, my mother always said I was as thick as two short planks.

Music, it can only be Ossie to start us off this weekend.

Spending the day sitting round at the hospital as Mrs Scrounger gets a double hernia repaired, so no drink yet (that, and the fact that it's only 11.15 am here!), but I am enjoying the debut Heartworms album that was released today.

Ah man, what a week. Monday nearly finished me off, but tough times don’t last, tough Boro fans do. Having been out of work for a few months, I’ve been offered a job today. So, naturally a celebratory tipple is on - Leffe Brune to kick start then that Yorkshire Bitter thread has got me excited.

Am staying at relatives tonight, a small but select gathering. I will have to be on my bestest behaviour as I was called rowdy before, while playing Trivial Pursuit

I have some bottles of Fursty Ferret prepared earlier to take with me.

No footy tomorrow as an excuse to leave early in the morning, and so have been tasked with attending a brisk morning walk but rain is forecast to save the day hopefully.

Was listening to this earlier on my play list, so thought I’d share for your delectation, (note to self, must learn to play the harp ).
