The weekend beer and music thread!

Mrs Conquest and myself are visiting the Christmas Market in Arras and so far it’s been wonderful.

I had Affligem Noel before going out tonight and glass of Fizz at a stall in the market before heading off for our evening meal.

A nice bottle of Saint Emillion Cru to wash it down and finished with an Irish Coffee Gormand.

Not sure Mrs Conquest suits that beard!

We've been working on our estates for years and years. I'll have a glass of Red tonight after official numbers confirm that ASB has reduced by big numbers over the last 12/24 month.

Of course I'm not complacent, people in my estate still suffer from others that don't care about anyone but themselves, but I really do think we are moving in the right direction- more money and more targeted intervention will make it improve more and the news that I have is we're getting both.

I live in Berwick Hills, have done for 30+years, I'm still here because we are the salt of the earth and I like genuine salt of the earth.

This song is relevant and makes me smile- some won't understand it and will use it to attack me.

Stuff them.

I can certainly remember we were never little darlings in South Bank, Teesville or Eston and some or our exploits shall remain acts of dangerous idiocy, vandalism and youthful ignorance with the guilty parties tight lipped to the grave. So yep - I can relate.

34 years ago yesterday, 28th November 1990 A certain Margaret Thatcher walked out of Downing Street for the last time as PM.

Some celebrated some didn't.

I did, just like one of my all time musical hero's did.

It's controversial for sure, but for many of us a musical masterpiece.

Costello- Tramp the dirt down.

This was when the BBC was the BBC.
