Get well soon Acklam lad.been pretty much housebound for about a month due to illness, but thanks to the power of a new course of steroids, am treating myself to TWO pre-match beers tmrw at my favourite boozer, but not feeling well enough to go to the game. fortunately my lad will benefit, and be able to use my ST. happy footy weekend everyone

A few Brew Dog IPA's and James live from 2001 love Tim Booth really moves me even his dancing is great lol
I saw Spaceman 3 at a club called Sensateria in Birmingham, late 80s I guess. I was doorman at the club but somehow managed to be inside that night to watch them. Maybe it was full and we'd shut the doors. Actually watched them with Rob Lloyd (Prefects/Nightingales). They did the Jesus and Mary Chain thing of facing their amps, way from the audience. I remember me and Rob liked them because they sounded a bit Hawkwind -ish. It was a gig that has stuck in my memory ever since.
I prefer Spiritualized though.

It's a close call to be fair.
More space rock/krautrock vibes with Spacemen 3 .... and that is NEVER a bad thing.
If you were being uncharitable you could just say that they were ripping off Suicide but everyone is ripping off someone.
