The weekend beer and music thread

The wife's gone up the wooden hill and I'm giving Hackney Diamonds another listen whilst supping an Elvis Juice.
I've never been a big Stones fan, and lady G is from another generation, but I came across this short clip from a surprise concert in NY last night promoting the album. Some power from both of them. Mick is 7 years older than me, but I wish I still had his energy.

They showed a bit of that on the news earlier today - I've been saying since the 80's that he's past it but he keeps on surprising me.

What was the Black Sabbath ballet like ?
Best described as "Not as bad as it could have been and not as good as it should have been." When it was good it was excellent, but it had its longeurs. The duets were the best bits and they shouldn't have touched "Paranoid" till its celebration at the end. Although it did look a bit like lots of Pan's People dancing. As a perspective on their history not a bad thing.

Missed this last night, was busy drinking Weston's cider. Saw this band supporting the excellent Samantha Fish at Sunderland Fire Station earlier this week. A bunch of beardy hairy Canadians who think it's the 1970s, but they won the crowd over with sheer enthusiasm. This is highly derivative, and the guitar riff is nicked from "Love Is The Law", but it's enjoyable enough.

Hope everyone enjoyed their beers and music last night - and some more after hopefully seeing a Boro win today
Just off for a couple of lagers pre match
Here's a Birmingham group who have been supporting City on their social media recently, with a song title that is hopefully wrong after the past couple of days
