The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon folks, hope all is well especially with our veritable flood of new signings. Maybe still a striker short of where I'd hoped we'd be but not too disappointed overall, especially as we may well end up using Forss as a CF from now one which is no bad thing. Loads of options wide and no 10, Lewis O'Brien is a great signing in midfield and so I can see where we're going with this. A lot of new faces and a youngish squad with potential, I'm sure we'll have a good season. Let's get things moving with a solid 3 points tomorrow against QPR. Sadly I'll be missing the game as I'm going to Bridlington to see Ashington away and making a night of it with a few friends, though fingers crossed both Boro and Ashington get 3 well needed points tomorrow.

To kick us off with a beer here's a great local pint and one I always drink whenever I see it on top (or bottled) anywhere. Yep, the fantastic Ouseburn Porter. For those who like their ales a bit darker and heavier it's up there with the best IMHO.

Also, a tune to kick us off dedicated to us being EFL Champions in 2024/2025 under our Brentford model with King Carrick leading us to league domination ;)

I recently discovered Black Cherry Kraken. Dangerous stuff!

Hoping to have a few celebratory ones after the game tomorrow.
Just finished my bottle of that, very nice though I prefer the ordinary Kraken. I'm told the coffee Kraken is very good so that might be the next up. For tonight though Havana Club 3 with Blood Orange mixer. Hitting the spot.

Tried the coffee one. As much as I love coffee it’s not for me. My only experience of it was a poor one though.

Slaters Pick, £24 for 3 double Kraken Coffees and Coke and a pint.

They didn’t have ice (only told me AFTER I bought the drinks) and the coke was flat diet roller cola.

Bumbu is my favourite Rum. Beautiful stuff.

Got myself a selection of beers, a can of Hazy Pale Ale- tastes like grapefruit juice but it does have a kick. A bottle of Dark Island Ale and a bottle of Leffes. Oh, I forgot about the Aldi Steinbacher and the Scottish Tennants. Good job I am not driving tomorrow
