The weekend beer and music thread

Afternoon folks, massive weekend coming up... really tough game against Huddersfield and make no mistake, Warnock will have them right up for it. We need to make sure we don't slip up as the pressure is building and we're still effectively 6 points behind Sheff Utd if they win their game in hand. With any luck we'll get 3 points, they'll get beat and then the pressure will really ramp up on them but we're all Boro supporters so know how it often works out. Let's hope we're very untypical Boro for the rest of the season.

I'm off to the Lakes and Scotland for a week with Mrs WG and the two younger children shortly so won't be drinking tonight. However, I thought I'd go with a Lake based theme to start off with and here's a lovely pint from Jennings...

Not on the drink yet but I will be cracking these bad boys open later that are left from the in laws visit last weekend.

No music yet , have just sat and watched A Bridge Too Far whilst eating After Eight’s from Christmas.

Will be messing about in the kitchen later and will be listening to Bruce Springsteen Only the Strong Survive.

I have a weekend celebrating my brother and his wife's 55th birthdays. She's vegan, he's diabetic so I've bought them a gift pack of chocolate (low sugar and plant based) and the best bit is the music is being picked by my18 year old niece. I gave her a ticket to see The Futureheads a couple of weeks ago and she loved them, almost as much as she loves Little Simz. I'm looking forward to some great new music.
 
Early start for me tomorrow, setting off to Huddersfield at 9:30 and got a pub stop on the way so giving the booze a miss tonight.

Went to Morrisons earlier to grab a beer selection. Got a 4 pack of Tiny Rebel’s Electric Boogaloo and 4 larger IPA Cans.

Can’t remember which ones but all new ones for me. All sounded delicious! Will report back tomorrow! 😆

The missus making us watch more Night agent this evening so no music as such. I have been listening to a lot of GnR this week though.

Amongst the old stuff, I heard this on Spotify. Much prefer the older stuff but quite enjoy this!

WeeGord mentioning lakes has got me listening to this lot for the first time in a good few years. This song title seems pretty appropriate for this forum and for the people who post on it.
