Wow I'm very late to the party this week. It's cooler here than back home so I felt it was allowed to open my first dark beer in a while.

The Unthanks all dayer was not as good as expected, mostly down to The Barbican rather than any Unthanks. Ultimately all made good by the last 10 minutes of their second set, a breath stopping reorchestration of Alex Glasgow's "Close The Coalhouse Door". I've grown up loving the original, but this version was extraordinary. I'm sure I'll go and see them again on their "Winter" tour.
