McNair and Britt are incomparable for me. Britt overall was a waste of money but we've had 5 good years from Paddy. He also signed a new contract during that time which indicates his value (at the time at least).
 
It seems we don't have to wait for the start of the season for the McNair baiting to start. Gotta love footie.

Wor lass was amazed when we went when son had just started work and for the 3 of us it was about £7 but she had worked as Assistant Bursar at McMillan just up the road. I've a feeling it was Easby Road by then which ran up to ?? Horton Park Avenue - straight road between Little Horton Village and Great Horton Road.

I don't remember if Park Avenue shared a ground with the Cricket like Bramall Lane or if the two were side by side. I think the latter.

Why on earth they did not all transfer to Odsal I've no idea

We have our own indian now at Slitheroe bridge ( Cinnamon Lounge) and the rest of the time its off to Booth Wood ( former Cunning Corner) which is better value for money and friendlier

Driven past Ciiamon Lounge many times but never sampled it.
If yu haven't tried it, Lannika on Pellon Lane is very good, for being a buffet.
Very very popular with the Pakistani community. I don't normally like buffets, but theirs usually has something a bit surprising and interesting on.
Unfortunately, Hashim, who runs it, has had to put prices up this last year .... from 14 to about 21. Increased cost of ingredients and utilities.
Given that you can eat as much as you want, it's probably still fair value. ... compared with fish and chips these days.

The young lads that people are moaning about as not good enough, we get to see them grow and improve. We see the bonds between these young men grow stronger as the season progressess.

We get to fight and argue whether McNair really is **** or a great proffessional who will run through brick walls for the fans.

We get to read Roofie's match day thread, and from a personal point of view, I get to call him old man.

We will get some drama, some world class goals, we will get new music for a new hero, we will hug men we don't know in shared joy.

I, for one, can't wait.

Glover was bad on that one for sure but Paddy’s long backward pass to him from nearer to the side line was unnecessary and invited danger.

Similarly I have no evidence, but I reckon both him and Howson will start against Millwall. They’ll be fit enough to play when it matters, but no point risking them in pre season kick abouts.
 
I tried reading this on one of my old phones. But it doesn't have Internet access.
Another one does have wifi but the characters looked something like this:
