He didn't play well. He gave the keeper a chancer to save 2 sittersNot a popular opinion but Assombalonga played well today. Hit the target with his chances and made the keeper work. I would start him again for the next game.
Let's be honest here TC if Assombalonga is a crap as people are saying we must have someone in the academy who is less crap. Or... Maybe he isn't as crap as you think.He didn't play well. He gave the keeper a chancer to save 2 sitters
The problem is Akpom is just anonymous, so we either stick with Britt or maybe play Bolasie or Watmore there next week
No Saville wasn't unlucky, he was terrible.
Assombolonga didn't race around doing anything - he never does.
Bolasie was quality - as I have posted since the match on a number of threads. He was encouraging.
I responded to your nonsense post, did so again to clarify and am doing so again.
It is not an "agenda" to call out players who missed simple chances yet again and who played badly yet again.
Maybe, maybe not, wasting 15mill on Britt when we already had Bamford but didn't have any quality creative players seemed stupid at the time and obscene now,Akpom doesn’t get within 10 yards of the goal to miss sitters. Wasting 3 million on him when money is as tight as it is is more of a waste than the 15 million spent on Britt when we were burning money IMHO.
The less said about the 8 million spent (or a straight swap for bamford if you like) on saville the better
Kind of true I guess... but we all thought he was going to be good. Knowing what we know now, we'd all have been gutted.When we signed Britt everyone was delighted. Bamford had just spent two years on the bench and the majority of people had written him off. Signing Britt was a hugely popular move at the time.
Nah....
Assombalonga = Garry Macdonald
Saville = Charlie Bell
Pat Cuff
I did actually like Kelham
Never a truer word said.Opinions are like r-soles, everyone has one and thinks everybody else's stink!
I liked Pat Cuff, he made his Boro debut on my man's birthday, tueaday 9th April1974Pat Cuff
Yep, go with thatNah....
Assombalonga = Billy Woof
Saville = Colin Ross
not everyone, I was confused and underwhelmed. I was also feeling that Bamford was being under used, I mean 2 years earlier he had been championship player of the year, if managed properly he could tear this division apart.When we signed Britt everyone was delighted. Spot on, some of us knew how talented Bamford is, it wasn't hard to see.not everyone, I was confused and underwhelmed. I was also feeling that Bamford was being under used, I mean 2 years earlier he had been championship player of the year, if managed properly he could tear this division apart.
