The unofficial "Official" Come On You Congo Boys (!) - Boro v The Bees Match Thread.

How did Kebano & Bolasie play for those that watched it? Would you go for a front three of them two and Watmore in the middle? God knows why the lad isn't getting more game time?

Bolasie was excellent, roasted his man, got good balls into the box, surprise was just how well he was in the air.

Kebano, was steady, showed some quality on the ball, but didn't have such an easy time against his man.

Bolasie looked great. Some really quick turns from him. Both put decent balls in.

Assombalonga frustrating as usual. Can't finish a sentence but does get in to the positions to miss whereas Akpom comes on and gets nowhere near. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe Watmore in the middle could work. Who knows?

I dont think that result was a fair representation of the game. We created chances and their keeper did well, making some crucial saves.

Bolasie looks different class, ran his socks off, delivered a few good balls in.. If that's a sign of things to come when he's fully fit than all I can say is 'watch this space all the naysayers that didn't want him here.

Kebano wasn't as influential but again showed that he knows how to get past players and showed promise.

Sav was desperately unlucky, should he have netted at least one of his chances? Yes, but at least he's getting into the positions which the midfield haven't been doing so far this season.

Brit was getting pulled all over today, very difficult to try and pin them down at the back when they pass the ball around like they do, and had to go off as he was knackered.

TBH, despite losing by 3 goals I saw something different from us today, there is light at the end of the tunnel, I don't think we are going to play a team as good as that again this season in such terrible conditions.

We were decent first half, dreadful second half, too much hoofing for me. However Brentford are a really, really good footballing side, lets not get carried away, we are still in with a chance of promotion.

Hopefully Bolasie and Kebano get better with more minutes and Mendez-Laing can started making an impact too, it's the midfield I worry about, we bypass it a lot and I dunno if it's because they're told to hoof it or because the 3 in the middle aren't great footballers so we have no other choice. I don't hate Saville, he is such a goal threat, can't really remember a midfielder we've had like that who gets himself in the box and gets chances so often, just wish he'd put one away! Would be nice to see maybe Howson and Saville or Morsy and Saville but then a better footballer in there who can distribute the ball better.

Another positive is that even though we got hammered, I have no idea how we haven't scored 5.

I'd play Watmore up front with Kebano and co. behind him. He's quite quick and makes intelligent runs.

I'd play 4-2-3-1 with Howson/Saville and Morsy protecting the defence.

Drivel.
We were put to bed by a better team and contributed to our own downfall with poor goalkeeping and defensive play, plus missing sitters. Saville was inexcusable and Assombolonga just needs keeping away from any pitch were playing on.

Had to come back and laugh at this again. 7th with 18 to play. What a silly reaction to have. 🤡🤡🤡
Boro_Legend has had a bit of a stinker today in that
Neil Warnock has been found out, the most decorated manager in the championship & took us from relegation certs to playoff challengers in 18 months
And
Season over, dear me Legend, even by your standard they're two, massive OG's

😁
Assombalonga = Garry Macdonald
Saville = Charlie Bell

Worth a try with watmore up top because if he’d had the Britt chances today you feel like he’d bury them

Having watched the highlights there is some shocking defending and not reacting quick enough and going forward is the same old problem. Britt shoots, hits the post, ball comes back to Sav? And instead of composing yourself with the goal wide open, he hits it with his studs. Ffs you’re a professional footballer
