* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v West Brom Match-Day Thread *

Van Den Berg must be injured. Payero moving, potentially?

Coburn on the bench too, I thought he'd gone on loan.

I'm hoping Smith hasn't been rushed back.

If Smith is fully fit then I'd expect us to be quite strong today.
We won’t let Coburn go until we sign someone. Deals agreed though

Odd that a youth outfield player isn’t preferred to a third keeper unless they are all playing today too

Have we not got another midfielder or full back in the club? I'd like to have seen Agyemang in the squad, he looked pretty good against Hartlepool.

2 goalies on the bench. There must have been a last minute injury or surely one of the lads would have been held back from the 21’s last night.

He played last night!
He's a fit lad! I'm sure he could have come on for ten minutes to bolster us if needed!

I presume it was something late on injury wise for Coulson or VDB or Payero speaking to another club and we've not had time to arrange anything?

I think Jamie Jones being on the bench is all about getting an occasional feel of being with the squad on our travels as when Dieng is away in January he will be involved, maybe even playing if Glover were called up too by Australia for the Asia Cup. Good management mixing it up for me.

Payero was training by himself with Frankie early this morning. Maybe he’s had a little niggle during the week……or maybe trying to keep himself fit prior to moving?

I would agree but I think they will interchange.

Looking forward to see if McGree can pick LL out with his clever runs in behind
I liked the interchanging of positions last week. The fact that any of the 4 players up top can pretty much fill into any of the 4 positions will make us very hard to defend against.

Hopefully Smith coming in will help provide a bit more width moving forward and make us a bit more solid at the back as well.
