Best first half performance of the season by a distance. Shame we are going in level rather than in front but we are giving ourselves a chance.

It was an improvement, but as I said earlier, we need to be much quicker in everything we do. We've stretched them at times, but as we saw so many times last year with the way we play, getting at teams can result in goals coming in quick succession.

We've been sloppy at times but much, much better than previous weeks.

We got in behind 4-5 times.

My main concern is how tired Jones is.

Overall it’s been a very busy and uplifting performance from the lads — almost like the back end of last season. Sloppy goal maybe but McGree has been good as has the whole team— now just go and win it. The hunger looks like it has been restored.

Watching him lead the line in the last two games I feel the position up top is his if he carries on in this vein. I've always liked him but been impressed with the way he's matured.
