* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Preston [02/24] Match-Day Thread *

Well on a positive note the best team lost the game, capatized on two mistakes, we where the better team but lack quality and without having a CF on the pitch or playing Forss through the middle it really is hurting us!

Much improved performance and whilst Carrick will always keep his faith while it is mathematically possible, the start to the season the constant injuries the sale of key players and no replacements has really effected our momentum this year!

Even come the summer it will be really hard Johnny is still as important to the team as ever yet he's out of contract and a year older, Mcnair leaves, loans go back and maybe Hackney and Rav will be fancied by others and I expect riley to move on too, interesting times ahead for the club, manager and squad!

There’s going to have to a number of incomings and outgoings come the end of the season. Based on this seasons performances, some of our squad don’t have the bottle, nouse or mentality to be successful.

Probably not helped by the fact that are some are just bang average.

I’ve been pretty positive this season, even in September, but the way this season is burning out is so disappointing.

The club didn’t recruit a striker in August when we needed one and the same has happened in January.

Greenwood even being classed as a striker is criminal.

McGree must be thinking what a shower of chite he’s been left with. I’ll be surprised if he stays.

Selling Roger’s and not making a signing tells you all you need to know about the ambition of the club for the rest of this season.
That was the big moment for me.

Showed us everything you need to know about the current ambitions of this club. Sell your brightest young forward for relative peanuts and don't replace him.

Those chickens are coming home to roost.

There’s been multiple players signed by other teams for peanuts this season and we can’t find the right player

Well that is disappointing.

We have some good footballers ( McGree, Hackney, Howson, Thomas) but you will **** all with no steel. That midfield needs a proper all rounder in there.

Oh and Dijksteel looked like he wanted to be anywhere but coming on for Middlesbrough tonight. Should be ashamed himself. Total lack of interest

Seasons done for me.
Dijksteel was just rusty. He’s hardly played and suddenly thrown in…
He was just off the pace and understandably

If we had drawn that game I’d be devastated

Just got a message from my old man…says this Boro is like the one he supported for most of the mid 50’s to mid 60’s…ouch lol

Decent performance. Keeper at fault for the first goal and second overplaying at the back. Their keeper makes a fantastic save, but we had so much of the play with not much end product. Concede sloppy goals and don’t take our chances, never going to end well.

Was rusty but also showed a lack of interest. Every time the ball came near him he didn’t want it.
