* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Leicester Match - Day Thread *

Does that make up for Heskey's late equaliser at Wembley? No nothing will but what a FANTASTIC result .
Get In, over the moon, what a gutsy performance in front of a big crowd.
EIO, EIO
Buzzing....wait till Diego starts posting, he will be high as a kite and rightly so

Well done Boro,

It might have been a bit lucky based on the stats, but it made up for the draw at Plymouth that we should have won.

Over the last 2 games we had 29 goals attempts to the oppositions 22.

stats other than possession were pretty equal tbh

A few excellent performances there! Howson, Fry and Jones defensively second half.
Also, RVDB has a massive future. Cracking player for his age and given he’s out of position. Also very vocal, which is impressive for a kid in a foreign country!

Can't have been signed by our recruitment team then. ;)

Just got back home, what an thoroughly deserved win that was. The team were excellent for the most part and made Leicester look second best. Yes Leicester kept the ball well and had a 10 minute spell where they looked great, we hung on, but they were made to look good in that spell through a brief panicky spell of passing at the back by us.

All the players contributed a minimum 7/10 for me today. Personally, I gave my M.O.T.M to Dael Fry, he was all over Iheanacho like a rash today, as finer piece of man marking since Pontus Kamark on Juninho in that 97 final. Their keeper made a superb first half save from him too. He was a 9.5/10 today

Honorary mention to Joshy, Howson, Greenwood, VDB, Dieng, who were all 8/10’s for me, everyone else was a 7/10 as their off the ball concentration was spot on. It was a pleasure to watch, and I never once felt we’d concede today, special mention for that great assist from Langford too…. he was woeful mind.
