* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Hull [11/24] Match - Day Thread *

If we win 4 out of every 5 games for the rest of the season, we will get promoted automatically. You don’t have to win 7 or 8 on the bounce. It’s total points that matter, however you get them
It's pretty much what Leicester did last season.

We could chuck in a Blackburn performance once every 5 games and go up automatically as long as we won the others.

We are creating an outrageous number of chances now in most games.

We do lack a bit of control in midfield without Morris though so I do fear we might struggle a bit in the next 2 and actually get pinned in for a change this season.

Haven't read the thread as just got in so apologies if I'm repeating others.

Sol Brynn looks a very good keeper to me. Id be happy to say the shirt is his to lose.

Back 4 solid for the majority if today. Thought Dael slotted back in nicely. Looked very good.

Midfield is better than the other night. Hackney makes a massive difference.

Front 4 did well.
Doak was fantastic.
Azaz had a good game. Probably not as effective as some of his other recent games but a brilliant goal that got us in front.
Burgzorg had another good game.
Conway is a proper no9. Really rate him.
Quality finisher. Intelligent runs. Just want we want in that position.

Conway ***
Brynn **
Azaz *

Thought it wasn’t a great performance, looked shaky at the back but needed 3 points and got them.
If you look at the stats, the defence has been letting us down all season, not the attack as all the pundits say.

I’d be having Woody in the office to explain hissel’

Having to chop and change at the back as well as the 2 in front, leads to inconsistency and mistakes.

Dael definitely pips it above Clarke for me at the moment. He works hard, has a real instinct to defend the ball and protect the goal. He looks up and doesn't f**** around at the back with the ball. [8/10]

Sol Brynn - he's always telling the lads to move up and not stand like statues around the box. He can ping a ball out to Doak and LL. He goes for the frontman or a Boro player in space. He makes good instinctive saves, and you can see the benefit being out on loan has given him. He commands his goal and I think he should be number 1. [7.5/10]

Burgzorg with his gloves on, charging runs forward, clever dinking left and right, changing direction and running onto balls: thanks to the Huddersfield lads who told us he had "no end product", because he's responding to class coaching and looking to be a major force in our front line. [8/10]

That Azaz fella! Imagine what a complete mess he would be if Wayne Rooney had him at Plymouth! [8/10]

As for

"Last Christmas I gave you my heart
but the very next day, you gave it away,
this year, to save me from tears,
I'll give it to Dan Barlaser! "

Excellent song from the South Stand Choir - [9/10](y)

I enjoyed that. Could have been a man down before we scored but thems the breaks.

Nowhere near a finished article yet but the peices that are in place are an absolute joy.

Thanks to Hull for not parking the bus, it made it really helpful for us and at times not sure how they were a bottom 3 team.

Finn on song is like watching a conductor. Really impressed with Tommy Conway he most certainly will do.

Going to miss Doak when he goes back to the red scousers but making the most of him while he’s here
I wonder if VAR would’ve looked at that and sent him to the monitor for the Borges pull back

I don't think you can say that is a clear and obvious denial of a goal scoring opportunity because I don't think he reaches it anyway. The pull does not really slow him much and think Bryan gets there first anyway.
