* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Hull [11/24] Match - Day Thread *

Fry excellent today. Two tough games coming up. Hopefully we can consolidate our place in the playoffs in the run up to Christmas.

I think what today has shown me is that we have no chance of the top 2. You either have to have a solid defence or can win 4/5/6/7 games in a row and lose the odd 1. We are unable to do neither of these things. However we will finish around 4/5th and be pretty comfortable in the play offs. And then the it’s in the hands of gods.

I honestly think we have the squad for the top 2 but with the style of play and the reluctance to change from that we won’t achieve the automatics.

You claimed the shirt pull didn’t impede him when it was literally the reason he wasn’t clean through….where do you even start with that?!
You are ignoring the fact that the Hull player was also pulling Borges shirt, fortunately the ref wasn't

Decent 3 points keeps us in the conversation, but we need to tighten up at the back in these next two games

Brynn - 7 not a lot to do what he did he did well
Dijksteel 5.5 - poor header caused the goal
Fry 8 - imperious
Edmundson 6.5 steady
Borges 5 - worst game for us
Barlaser 6 not quite good enough out of possession
Hackney 7 - kept proving with positive balls
Doak 8 - constant danger, loved the little back post lob for conway
Azaz - brilliant goal
Bergzorg 7 - carried the ball beautifully at times
Conway 8.5 - norm two goals and close to a hat trick with a shot to the corner before he went off

Subs 6.5 saw the game out

There’s a difference between touching and grabbing a handful 🤣
He grabbed a handful of a loose shirt. If you think that made him slow down to such an extent he couldn't pull away then you've never had your shirt pulled. If he'd truly been in then he'd not have waited til he had no chance to get the ball before going down.

It's the Championship, not the NBA and the referee understood this.

I kind of know what you mean but it was none existent v Blackburn and the second goal can directly from Dyksteel winning the ball back high up the pitch. Again, we just didn't see any of this on Weds night.
I didn’t see Wednesday at all, so I can’t comment on it other than the goal was offside. Today I thought we didn’t commit to it as a unit and let them play out a bit too easy, or maybe that’s something individually they’re good at
