* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Coventry City Match - Day Thread *

Ah Giles, should have shot or pulled it back.

The 2nd part of the original game plan looks to be working well, shame the more decisive starting team couldn’t keep it to 0-0 first half.

Think I just prefer us to go for goals, every minute of every game, the centre mid isn’t good enough at keeping it tight, and the lads at the back make too many individual errors.

Forget clean sheets, we’re not going to be able to play like that, we just need to create as many chances as possible, and hope our players are good enough to put it in.

They’re bottom of the league, if you’re going to play that side you play it against the top sides.
They’ve played 3 less games, nearly all of their games have been away.

They probably won’t finish in the bottom 3rd.

They still have a £15m plus striker

His team selection today is an indicator that he's lost his confidence. What's happened to "I'll always go for it and try to win"?

I think the two week break played something into that, effectively a prep spoiler but it didn’t work as well as hoped. It worked better than being 2 or 3 down mind.

Hopefully this puts to bed the thoughts of those who think we can Karanka our way to a 1-0.
