My wife had a go at me for scaring the dog.My wife just informed me that I didn't shout or cheer either of the goals. I think I'm broken.
He never hides and always is looking for the ball. The lad makes mistakes but give him his due, he tries to win the ball back.First and foremost he has to be solid as a defender. He isn’t, he makes bad decisions and mistakes that stand out every game.
It’s his first season in English football, probably a higher standard than he played in Denmark. Hopefully he will be better next year for the experience.
He's been our most dangerous attacker, despite his obvious inconsistencies.Despite his very wayward passing, Engel has at least looked like he's bothered, even before we equalised and then took the lead.
And an extra playerTwo different teams, pre- and post-sending off. Amazing what a bit of belief will do for a team. UTFB!!
Did look that way didn't it, but the ref was literally a few yards away, so I'm inclined to think he's had the best possible view of it, rather than relying on a lino for example.Stupid (and very soft) sending off
The referee has done us an absolutely massive favour here. Until that red card we were beyond abysmal. Slow, ponderous, frightened, disjointed, completely all over the show. Why on earth we started with such a high line when we have no pace at the back was beyond belief. Five at the back and yet there were gaping holes everywhere.
Thankfully we’ve got back on terms and then in front but there was a few minutes in the first 30-35mins when it looked as bad as it’s looked since the dark days of Woodgate and Strachan.
Snap! We've lost a few this season where we were the better team. Hull at home springs to mind. So its about time we had a bit of luck.
It'd help everyone if others moved to the ball rather than waiting for it to come to them. We have gone from the flowing football of last season where players were always on the move to having to be uber accurate with the ball into feet. I know we're not blessed with pace, but our ability to create space has really suffered this season.Engel has put some good balls in, including the one that led to the goal, but he gives the ball away and makes real basic errors constantly every time he plays. He's nowhere near good enough if we want to push for promotion especially if we are going to play the way Carrick wants to. He's just not a good enough footballer.
I didn’t either! It struck me as very odd, normally there’s a shout and an explanation to the other half about how we’re about to turn it around and put a run together. My wife just informed me that I didn't shout or cheer either of the goals. I think I'm broken.
Not sure about the first and foremost but you are right he will need time to adapt.First and foremost he has to be solid as a defender. He isn’t, he makes bad decisions and mistakes that stand out every game.
It’s his first season in English football, probably a higher standard than he played in Denmark. Hopefully he will be better next year for the experience.
There was no real kick out, gentle graze of Howsons leg and Howson made a meal of it, but ref was very close and must have thought there was intent. The board would have been in meltdown if our player had been sent off for that.Just seen their goal again and Rav and Clarke get themselves in awful positions.
