* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Millwall, Match-Day Thread *

Been great after the first ten minutes - it is him in no man's land with the goal after a good header from Fry.

But difficult to blame a debutant 10 mins allowing a volley from the edge of the box.
I don't even think it was his fault. You don't expect your full back to be marking men on the edge of the box.

Probably Jones or Howson should be closer to him.

When you let as many balls come in as we have from the left today though its inevitable they'll put one away eventually. Need to be limiting the amount coming in at source. I.e. Engel needs to stop getting rinsed.

To be honest I expected a bit of a disjointed performance following Tuesday, I am now hoping we have dusted ourselves down and will come on strong in the second half.

As mentioned above maybe away from home we need to take on a more mature performance and be tight and exploit the space at the right times.

We do need a better left sided player to work and support, whoever plays LB as we dont have the same support from the left that Jones gives from the right whether he is having an off day or not he always helps the full back out.

We can only get better and have a few bodies we may be able to give minutes too as people tire.

When we scored, Engel went over to Greenwood to acknowledge his pass and Greenwood ignored him and brushed him off!!!????

I watched the replay and he accepts Engel's high five (or hand clasp thingy or whatever it is), but doesn't engage much with anyone else. I'd like to think he's just disappointed in his own performance up to that moment, and focused on improving this game and scoreline before he gets too carried away with celebrating.

Very noticeable how quickly Greenwood is getting in to help Engel at the start of the half.

Hasn't helped yet like. Still got 2 balls across at first 2 attempts
