I would imagine there's a few on here who remembers having one of these pushed through the letterbox. The header was coloured blue. Can't see a thing anywhere about it on the Internet though. I know it was replaced by the Herald and Post ...late 70s early 80s?
Used to have a few Boro related stuff in the back but was mostly ads for Hintons, Dutton Forshaws Garage, Uptons and Arthur Pearce etc

I also delivered these cursed papers. Some people didn’t want it, it was always good when the leaflets were added. £5 a week for 200 papers!

My daughter delivers 8 daily newspapers, 5 mornings a week before school and gets £30!!

I used to deliver it in the mid seventies. Can't remember what I was paid but I do rember thinking I was rich when a woman who lived on Stokesley Road gave me 50p for bringing it the night before normal delivery day.

Got sacked for dumping them over the railway for 8 weeks solid. My work ethic has improved since then .
It was common to see piles of these papers dumped in parks etc. :ROFLMAO:
I also had a H&P round in the 90s and had my own dumping spots.

Another one who used to deliver these when I was a young lad.
Used to get a decent Christmas bonus from people I delivered to but it was a pain writing 200+ christmas cards but the return was worth it. Used to get at least £100.

We had the odd customer who’d be on the phone if they hadn’t got theirs by 7pm and the agents would be letting us know the next week… good job we didn’t have mobiles back then if they’d be bolocking us straight away… I may or may not have dumped the odd paper from time to time 🫣

Same here! - about 1972 my dad bought me second hand snooker table from a family in Billingham. The ad was probably in TT. The free paper was nearly all adverts. I used to find piles of abandoned ones in the woods. They were boring to me, no photos, no sport, no TV schedules.

I used to deliver the Cleveland Clarion as a kid, so mid ‘80’s.. 325 papers at a penny a paper! 😳
