My mate text me yesterday saying one of his family had been in. “Really expensive like, £10.50 a pint”

I said it was closer to £5.50 a pint, according to the father in law. It was about £5.50 in Newcastle too. Unless they do surge / dynamic pricing on a night, then obviously correct me.

I imagine his family member has exaggerated whatever he was charged. He’s one of those who goes to the bar and asks for the cheapest pint on draft. Once we were out together and we went into a bar he didn’t know. He chose a pint in that was cheapest by 10p, then whinged for 30 minutes that he didn’t like the beer he bought! 🤣

I think it was 5.50 for a Guinness when i was in before the match last week
 
I said on the other thread that a 5 pint round was actually cheaper than the Zetland over the road from it.
