Thats why Carrick batted stupid reporter comments away. Even under pressure he stuck to the game plan of playing out from the back.

I've said in the past I want my team to take risks and this team do just that. From Chuba and Riley being happy to take the ball under pressure and play out through to Forss and Archer being happy to gamble on getting the ball played where they can have a strike. Even Hackney and Howson who seem happy to choose the risky ball rather than the safe one. Hayden could have played the easy ball wide for the 3rd, but he took the harder option and knew Archer would minimise the risk by timing his run perfectly.
PL credentials springs to mind when you take about how we play the game now. Very few percentage plays looking for the 2nd ball.
