Looks like he’s managed to deflect the thread and get people forgetting what it was about.

So, back on track, if Trump does win, what is to be done about how social media can manipulate people so easily? How Sissy Spacex his managed an entire pro Trump platform seemingly without checks and balances?
 
Nothing will be done about it. Or should it as that goes against the ethos of the internet. I know ppl who worked at Twitter and there was a lot of sketchy suppression of information going on that led to Musks buy out. Governments have always been too many steps behind meaning regulation is difficult. A bunch of middle aged politicians can’t catch up tech geniuses as they don’t understand the now let alone the next development. Look at how shambolic the questioning of Zuckerberg was in congress. A child wouldn’t have asked such stupid questions. We’re in a bit of a bind as we’ve not addressed the WWW issues on society yet and we’ve got AI coming up fast. The nerds have inherited the earth. Humanity was not prepared for the internet. Humanities greatest invention but also its most dangerous.

I knwo advertisers are pulling out left right and centre becasue the far right aren't as popular as they believe themselves to be. But itcould still have done the damage if Trump gets I'm. We must always fight fascism

Trump and the GOP jumping on Biden's "garbage" gaffe is going to finish Trump's campaign, as it just shows how hypocritical they are when all they've done this campaign is trash the Democrats and insult anyone who won't vote for Trump.

I put some info on another thread about the latest predictions.
In short - all the predictions are worthless in that they are all in the margin of error.
The guy (American based Company secretary of a massive business) summarised that for Kamala to win she has to get Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Also said we are unlikely to know the outcome until next Friday/Saturday.

All major businesses have contingency plans for unrest - regardless of the outcome.

Gammons generally don't like people who are more intelligent than them. We saw the scorn poured on experts during brexit with success.

It makes them feel inferior and threatened. When people more intelligent than them disagree with them they hate it even more, they know they're outmatched so just double down on the rhetoric, desperately clinging to things like "my opinion is just as valid as anyone's".

Trump ticks all the boxes for them. He doesn't challenge their thinking and he's quite clearly not very bright.

He "says it as it is" which basically means he's opinionated and doesn't bother himself with having to back those opinions with irritating things like facts or evidence. His brain works just like theirs do.

Partly why his many embarrassing ramblings fail to shift the needle.

Quite right.

I don't use the term 'gammon' myself, I don't think it's helpful, but being gammon is a choice, race is not.

I'm bald, middle aged and a bit red in the face, but no one ever calls me gammon (maybe I'm too woke?). Gammon is about how you choose to behave.
