The Merlin Billingham To start Doing Takeaways

i used to go to the match on the bus from the merlin in the late 90s early 00s as a kid when my mam used to work behind the bar! some great memories including trips away to sheff wed being one of my favourites! still live round the corner now and take my own kids in there for food!
 
👍 We all need to keep using the pub, especially over next few weeks so it's still there when things hopefully return to normal.

Used to be quite a few Mackems in there around half 6 on a Saturday coming back from a home game.

Very good pool table by the way. Best I've played on round Stockton/Norton/Billingham area. Few and far between these days though

I'm not a big parmo fan but their Southern Fried chicken one was quite tasty, wouldn't be averse to having another dabble. Would have to have a few beers on board, all the same.

We've reduced our prices accordingly. We don't have front of house staff to pay and only me and the 3 other chefs to pay as the owners are sorting out deliveries and takeaway collections themselves.
Don't get me wrong, I bet loads of places don't adjust their prices but each to their own.

3 checks on the board already and we've only had the phone on half and hour. Tonight will be a quiet one as loads of people went out last night and ate but we are quietly confident the takeouts over the next however many weeks will cover bills and wages.
 
Most infamous do a runner spot in Billingham? Car park through to Sherbourne Ave or over the road into High Grange.
 
Ordered 2 parmos tonight from the merlin half a plain & half a hot shot with chilli and garlic, absolutely class.
Who ever was going on about prices on here, they have reduced them.

FFS Borgelite - are you on commission or something - one post pushing the place OK, but you've spammed this thread with advertising for them
 
That may be so, but when 50% of the posts on this thread are from you advertising one particular place, at least have the decency to admit you have an interest in it
 
Yes I do have an interest, its my local boozer and I don't want to see this sh 1t situation ruin a nice couples business and its the pub we all go in before home and away matches.
Do you have a local?
