Afternoon folks, been quite a hot week and it's going to get much hotter next week and so make sure you've plenty of bottles chilling in the fridge as there may well be an increased appetite for them when we're sweltering in 32-36 degree heat!!
At the weekly pub quiz I go to each Wednesday I noticed my local had some Double Maxim in stock so having not had any for some time I decided to indulge and I'm glad I did. A mere £2.10 per pint too, an absolute steal.
Given that Maxim has it's roots in Wearside I thought I would use that as a theme and so wil start the music with the fantastic Slave to Love by Roxy Music. Bryan Ferry was born in Washington so it's close enough to count! Enjoy your weekend folks, and no doubt I'll post some more dreadful tunes later
