I don't really understand why so many on here want to drag up how Akpom played 3 or 4 seasons ago. You get that time is linear right?

One good season about 12 seasons in to his career, in a second tier league, does not suddenly make him "too good" for the Eredivisie.

I think Newy might have been being flippant. Try not to let it upset you. Nobody actually thinks playing at boro would be preferable for a footballer over playing at Ajax.
