Re-released in 1980 when he was shotI thought War Is Over was 1980 but actually Just realised it must have been 75 when Nam Ended.
That one does my nut in too.I am a huge Beatles fan but I absolutely detest Wonderful Christmastime. Paul must have just known he could put only old ***** out at that stage and people would buy it for Christmas.
Agreed Sammy, utter b*llocksChristmas Rapping-The Waitresses. Tacky as !!
It’s not his very best work, but I always feel a bit tearful when I hear it - I remember the video so vividly from being a kid and associate it subconsciously with how much paul mc loved linda and how devastated he was when she passed away so young. Seeing the kids in the video all so happy together. I suppose Christmas has loads of those sad associations the older you get.I am a huge Beatles fan but I absolutely detest Wonderful Christmastime. Explains it all mateone of my customers (now deceased) co-wrote that song! strangely he also wrote some episodes of dr.who - was a stoke city fan as I recall.
It’s Christmas not Grinchmas. Get the Xmas sweaters in and get the snowballs mixed!!Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms does my nut in. It's on in every bloody shop you go in.
Not so much the song, its the way he sings "claaaaaaaaack" instead of clock.
