The Christmas song you can't stand

All of them except fairytale of New York. Its not like there ever seem to be any new ones added to the playlist. Come mid-November you know you're going to hear the same songs one after the other everywhere you go.
Bah humbug!

I love nearly all Christmas songs… but these really get up my nose

Fairytale in New York
Merry Christmas Darling by the Carpenters

Anything by Buble

I am a huge Beatles fan but I absolutely detest Wonderful Christmastime. Paul must have just known he could put only old ***** out at that stage and people would buy it for Christmas.

I agree: it's not worthy of his talent.

If all kids have come up with after a year of practice is "ding dong, ding dong, ding dong" they can't have practiced very hard. Pure doggerel.

I could happily live without hearing Slade, wizzard or the John Lennon dirge ever again, but McCartney one is particularly irksome.

I don't mind Fairytale of New York at all, and will listen to it at any time of year if I happen to have my Pogues albums on.

Ah I don’t mind War Is Over. I quite like Fairytale of New York too.
