Not so much the song, its the way he sings "claaaaaaaaack" instead of clock.

I got a text once from my phone company years ago asking if I wanted fairy tale of New York as a free tone over Xmas and I thought as it’s free I’ll have it. But my phone rang and no FTONY played so I just assumed it hadn’t worked but then a few months later a mate text me and said why is my phone playing that bloody song as it’s nearly April.

What I got wasn’t a free ring tone but free a dial tone so who ever was calling me heard it as they waited for me to answer.

I used to loathe them all after a few Christmases of retail work when I was younger. Six weeks of non stop festive music with the Jackson Five cropping up every ten minutes. Those kids must've been locked in a studio at gunpoint to record so many.

I can listen to most Xmas songs now but still detest Fairytale of New York and Blue Christmas by Elvis.
