The best concert/gig you've been to

My absolute favourite was Galaxie 500 at Manchester International in 1991. They split soon after. Not seen any of their subsequent projects since then but am seeing Dean Wareham perform the Galaxie 500 On Fire album tomorrow in Leeds and Thursday in Newcastle.
Other favourites include Fanfarlo at the Westgarth, Dark Dark Dark at the Georgian, Jonathan Richman in a church in Newcastle and Gil Scott Heron at the Arena in Boro.
was it 1990?

This is an almost impossible task and we have had it before. So without going back and seeing what I posted last time here we go again. In no particular order.

10CC the night before thye above show at The Rainbow. The loudest band I have ever seen.

My first gig was Peter Gabriels Genesis at the Rainbow Theatre Finsbury Park - it made such a major impression on me that I can still remember lots from that evening. Magical.

Just looked up the date - 20th October 1973

Christ, that's a tough question - far too many to consider. Top of my head currently:

Raconteurs Leeds Festival (2006) - Musicianship was incredible, genuinely stunning performance
Dylan Hop Farm (2010) - effectively a greatest hits set, doubt I'll see him better
Grinderman (2010) - probably the most intense live experience I've ever witnessed (although I've never seen Cave anything other than "sublime" this one was special)
Deerhunter End of the Road Festival (2019) - wanted to see them for years, not discounting seeing them in Portugal when I was leathered, the sound and performance blew me away on the barrier. Could have happily watched them play for hours.

Good to hear the rave reviews for Springsteen, finally getting to see him over in Sweden next summer.

Now just to source Morrissey and Dylan tickets......
