The absence of Becks

I think Madri was invented to access the market that Birra Moretti had opened as a fairly standard lager from the continent that they could charge a premium for. I don’t mind either of them but there are far better and cheaper options available. I love a good pint of Erdinger personally.

Erdinger. Now you’re talking. That’s what I drink in my local. They stock the bottles for me.

Madri has absolutely nothing to do with Spain, its sudden popularity is the result of a very clever (and somewhat cynical) marketing exercise.

The rumour in the beer world is it's just Coors Light with added hop extract. Really wouldn't surprise me if that was true.

For the brief period in the early 2000s when I didn't know any better and drank Becks, it always tasted metallic.

At the end of the day it's all mass produced macro rubbish.
It's true. I think I read something about it being brewed at a higher temperature than coors to make it maltier. I'm not a lager drinker but don't mind it unlike coors.

Also how is that logo/gentleman representative of Spain?
